Our mission is to provide quality mental health resources and support to our first-responders and hospital health care professionals so they may live the very best lives possible on and off duty. We accomplish this with collaborative efforts to improve resilience by means of breaking down barriers surrounding mental health and align those that serve with optimum mental readiness.
Suicide Prevention Lifeline
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the United States. The Lifeline is comprised of a national network of over 170 local crisis centers, combining custom local care and resources with national standards and best practices.
University of Nevada Downing Clinic
The mission of the Downing Clinic is to provide low-cost, mental health counseling services to UNR students and those in the Reno community. Master’s level, student interns provide individual, couples, family counseling, and play therapy under the supervision of fully licensed individuals to ensure quality client care.
